Are you a collaborative and driven software engineer eager to make a meaningful impact? We’re looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join our team and help our clients tackle the social housing crisis. Here, you’ll develop complex software that drives real-world solutions, actively helping to create new homes for low-income households. You’ll have the chance to own and drive ambitious goals with like-minded colleagues, working together to solve impactful, challenging problems.
What do we have to offer?
We offer the opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to have a real positive impact on the lives of lower-income households. You will get to work on the entire stack of our Web application to help our clients solve the housing crisis.
As a key member of our team, you’ll engage across all stages of the development process to drive high-quality solutions:
- Full-Stack Development: Refine, develop, code-review, test, and enhance features on both the front end and back end. Using Java, TypeScript, Angular, and Docker, you’ll contribute to all layers of our web application, ensuring it’s robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: As part of a team that values support, trust, and simplicity, you’ll work closely with others to find innovative solutions to complex problems, sharing ideas and helping your teammates thrive. We prioritize making time for one another because we believe in collective success.
- Prepare for Cloud Migration: In June 2025, we’ll begin transitioning our platform from JavaEE to a cloud-native environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, contributing to our platform’s transformation and enhancing your expertise in cloud-native development.
What’s in it for you?
We offer you a challenging and rewarding role in a growing company, while being part of an inspirational global business with a lot of opportunities for personal and professional career development. The salary range is roughly € 53K – 63K on yearly basis (including variable pay, 13th month, holiday allowance), dependent on your role, competency profile and experience.
In addition to this competitive salary, we offer you excellent benefits, including:
- An open and informal work environment (Active staff association, annual ski trip, staff social events, annual summer and Christmas party and much more) with inspiring, smart and enthusiastic colleagues
- Opportunities to develop yourself with a training program as well as weekly research and knowledge meetings
- Hybrid working, meaning working at the office in Rotterdam, with the possibility to work partly from home (of course you’re welcome to work every day at the office) – our main office is in Rotterdam, beautifully located overlooking the Nieuwe Maas near Blaak station
- The prospect of a permanent contract, because we strive for a long-term collaboration
- As already mentioned, a fixed 13th month, 8% holiday allowance, participation in a bonus scheme (based on achieving pre-determined set of KPI’s, a bonus of 12% of the annual salary can be earned), but also participation in the pension scheme, commute, and business travel allowance, working from home allowance, 27 vacation days and the possibility to buy more.
Who are you?
You are motivated to use your software development and cooperation skills to help solve the housing crisis. You enjoy learning, are naturally curious, and you are drawn to complex problems. When given the option to work on your own, or together with someone, you prefer to work together to achieve common goals. You enjoy working on the entire software development process: requirement engineering, full-stack development and testing. You should be looking for a challenging and demanding position, because making impact requires hard work. And of course, you identify yourself with our core values.
In addition, the following aspects are important:
- A BSc or MSc degree with a strong software development component
- 0–3 years in software development, with some experience or knowledge of Java, TypeScript, or similar languages
- You enjoy working together with others to gain new insights and to help improve your own ideas, and those of others
- Solid command of the English language, both in speaking and in writing; we have an international team with non-Dutch speaking colleagues
- You must reside in the Netherlands and, if applicable, possess a valid work permit.
