Since its establishment, Ortec Finance has put a lot of effort in applied scientific research. Its research activities are concentrated within the Ortec Finance Research Center. Almost all our researchers have a degree in economics, finance, econometrics or mathematics. The Research Center aims to be the linking pin between Ortec Finance and the scientific research community, and performs innovative, high-quality research with a strong practical focus.

The objectives of the Research Center are to:

  • Use internal and external research to improve the quality of Ortec Finance’s solutions and products
  • Support knowledge sharing between Ortec Finance, our (potential) customers, and the scientific financial research community so that our models and eventually our clients’ financial decisions can be further improved
  • Show thought leadership in our markets

The Research Center works on research projects defined in its annual research plan. The results are published in working papers and in external scientific articles and journals. Our researchers regularly speak at seminars and conferences, and they maintain contacts with other research institutions such as Inquire Europe, Netspar, and universities.
