Do you want to join us as Quantitative software developer?

You will be a member of the Scenario & Asset Valuations software engineering team. Our main responsibility is the software of our Economic Scenario Generators (ESG) that generate scenarios using Monte Carlo simulation. The software is written in C#, and Python is used for automation and research. The ESG’s are used extensively in-house, and they are also used by clients world-wide to manage the complexity of investment decisions.

What will you do?

You will contribute to the realization of new features, from design until production. You will work together with a small team of around 4 people with background in computer science, mathematics and computational science. We work together in an agile setting (Scrum) in T-shaped roles, contributing to all parts of the development process. Your daily focus will be development, in both C# and Python. You are able to translate number crunching financial models into working code, and you can effectively communicate with our financial experts who create these models. Typical projects are implementing new functionality in our software, and you will also contribute to setting up a web service to deliver scenarios to our clients systems automatically.

Who are you?

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or in another technical, financial, science or engineering field with enough focus on development. You are familiar in working with models, preferably financial models. You preferably have up to 2 years working experience in a relevant role (internships also count).

You also possess:

  • Cooperative skills in order to act as a team player;
  • Knowledge of C# and Python (or the willingness and ability to learn fast);
  • Good conceptual capability to understand complex (financial) models;
  • Dedication to excellence, a willingness to learn, motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Experience working with agile development practices is a pre.
