What do we offer?

As a Business Consultant, you contribute to a variety of activities within projects in the field of financial risk management for large and medium-sized insurance companies. Financial risk management extensively covers advice assignments in the field of Asset Liability Management (ALM), investment advice and risk monitoring. You will be part of the team which is responsible for various insurance customers and projects. With support of our models and analysis, you help them to find out what impact policy decisions have on their (financial) position; not only now, but also in the future.


What could your work week look like? Well, for example, on Monday you could be supporting one of our international clients with issues concerning their portfolio optimization. Your Tuesday starts with coffee or tea at the 15th floor of our beautiful building in Rotterdam, looking out over the Maas River, followed by a team meeting about how to best help clients with their ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) and monitoring processes. On Wednesday you visit one of our Netherlands-based customers for a face-to-face meeting. On Thursday you work with one of your team members on an article on inflation and liquidity risks for insurers, ready to be published. Finally, on Friday you are working together with the developers’ team to discuss new model features to help service our international client’s needs. After which you join the biweekly company-wide ‘Friday live’ meeting.


You will be part of our Insurance Strategy team. This team is dedicated to enable our clients in the insurance and asset management sector to manage the complexity of investment decision making and enhance enterprise risk management. We design, build, and apply solutions for (dynamic) risk management, such as ALM analyses, ORSA calculations and the valuation of embedded options. We do this for all types of insurance companies – e.g. life, non-life, health and composite insurers – with a global perspective. This gives you the opportunity to dive into the different dynamics of investments and insurance regulatory frameworks from all over the world.

Who are you?

You are interested in financial markets and have the analytical mindset and strong quantitative skills to dive into complex problems. You enjoy working together with your team members to give our customers the best services. And of course, you identify yourself with our core values.

  • You have a master’s degree in a quantitative study with economic aspects, for example Business Economics with an emphasis on Financing and Investment, Econometrics, Actuarial Sciences or Quantitative Economics
  • You have interest in the field of investment and risk management issues for insurers.
  • Analytical attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Being fluent in Dutch and English is a requirement.
