The Journal of Performance Measurement’s (JPM) latest edition features Elske van de Burgt, Managing Director Investment Performance, in their The Columnists section. JPM asks six performance attribution professionals for their view on a single topic.

On If you could be or do anything else other than performance measurement, what would it be and why?, Elske replied (fragment, see JPM pdf for the full text):

“Elements that are important to me are cultural diversity, human interaction, and ongoing care. And a tiny bit of nerdiness, because I really enjoy working with whizz kids. These elements also combine into a job as math teacher at an international school, professional holiday or travel planner, or even closer to my current role, a financial advisor.”
