We offer a position for a full-stack web developer in our Real Estate solution, where you will be working on the backend, frontend, and contribute to our Cloud Native transition.

What do we have to offer?

At Ortec Finance we specialize in the development of sophisticated valuation models for residential and commercial real estate properties. We invite you to join our team and contribute to improving our software, designed to provide our clients with a seamless experience in utilizing these valuation models. Your role will encompass the creation of user-friendly workflows for data input and validation, the development of intuitive dashboards and reports for in-depth analysis of valuation outcomes, and the integration of our applications with various computational services and data sources.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Translating functional requirements from our Client Servicing team into user stories
  • Assisting in UI design
  • Continuously improving the technical architecture of our applications
  • Collaboratively developing new frontend and backend features with your team members (don’t forget those unit tests)
  • Assisting in our transition to the cloud by implementing new tooling, setting up CI-CD, etc.
  • Sharing knowledge with your team members
  • Participating in scrum rituals like daily standups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

You will be part of a self-managed Scrum team that takes great pride and responsibility in the products they develop. The team highly values collaboration and encourages every member to express their thoughts, critiques, ideas, and initiatives.

Once every two weeks we have a “just-do-it” day where you have the freedom to work on projects you deem important and experiment with new ideas. Innovation and initiative-taking are highly appreciated.

We place a high value on knowledge within our organization. We conduct monthly technical knowledge sharing sessions in a casual environment, complete with snacks and beverages. We have focus groups, known as chapters, that specialize in specific tech domains. These groups explore new innovations and offer support to our engineering teams.

In addition to work-related activities, we also host various social activities such as (board) game nights, sports events, cultural activities, team outings, and an annual skiing trip.

Who are you?

You are interested in working in the domain of real estate and are always eager to delve into new technologies and bring your innovative ideas to life. In addition, the following aspects are important:

  • You have a bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, or related
  • You have 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Javascript frameworks, preferably Angular
  • Knowledge and experience with an object oriented programming language (Java or Kotlin is a big pre)
  • Being fluent in English is a requirement, command of the Dutch language is a pre.
