Lisa Eichler, Director Strategy & Markets Climate & ESG, and Laura Zizzo, CEO Manifest Climate, presented about Climate Scenario Analysis: Enabling Action in the Face of Uncertainty at CAiP’s virtual forum on ESG- Sustainable investments. Laura talked about how TCFD, Task force Climate related Financial Disclosures, encourages organizations to assess their exposure to climate risks. She showed how TCFD’s four pillars – Governance, Strategy, Risk Management and Metrics & Targets – can be made tangible so that investors can link their climate related risks, opportunities and financial impact.
Lisa showed how Ortec Finance’s Climate MAPS combines advanced financial scenarios with advanced climate scenario modeling: With partners, e.g. Cambridge Econometrics, Ortec Finance’s Climate & ESG solution developed a methodology where climate informed input data & assumptions, are fed into a macro-economic model and stochastic financial model, resulting in systemic climate risk-aware scenario sets.
